A layout!!!! I did manage a layout this weekend, I used the sketch over at Dusty Attic by the lovely Michelle Grant. I pretty much stuck to the sketch but placed my photo's in the middle. Lots of fussy cutting and 3D tape, I should have taken some close ups but I forgot....sorry! I used DA trims and words, inked them with Distress Ink and finished the words off with some crackle accents.

A layout of my gorgeous family! Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments!!

Another Card :)

I am in a bit of a card making mood or should I say colouring with my Copics!!! So I have another card to share with you today, I have made it for someone very special who was just been given some bad medical news. Unfortunately we live so far apart and it really is horrible not being around at times like this so this card is for her, 'Hope'!!

I have used this sweet little image from Tickled Pink Stamps and I am going to enter her in their Challenge #16 - Spring. I coloured her with my Copics (of course!), used Basic Grey Curio papers and embellies, some lace and Prima flowers.

A little toot to share with you today over here.

Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments, hope you are eating lots of chocolate this weekend..........LOL!!!

I would like to enter her in the Whiff of Joy Challenge #102 - A Recipe. The recipe was 3 buttons, 2 papers and one ribbon. And Cute Card Thursday Challenge #161 - No Text.

Happy Easter!!!

It is a fabulously long 5 day weekend......woohoo!!! I plan to spend some fun times with the kids, hopefully some crafty time and I should really catch up on all my folding, just now eveyone is going to run out of clothes in their cupboards......LOL!!

Here is my April Prima BAP LO, lots of stitching on this one. Each little block is machine stitched and then I end up covering up most of them?

Some close ups, lots of fussy cutting and amongst all the flowers is a Dusty Attic chippie, some muslin and twine, yummy Prima flowers!!

I have been playing with my Copics and gorgeous stamps from Lime Tart, so I will be back to share. Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments, have a special easter everyone!!!!

This weekend I squeezed some crafty time in and managed this LO for WW1 - white, olive green and twine.

The kids are on holidays and its great to think there will be a break from all the running around :) First up is this card for this months card challenge at My Minds Eye.

A LO of the boys fishing at our local fishing competition using the My Minds Eye sketch, I used some of my older stash of My Minds Eye papers. I have battled to scrap the photo's of the kids fishing, a subject I find difficult.....LOL. Kept it pretty simple with some stitching and fussy cutting but I guess simple is sometimes best for boy LO's. The last day of the comp was wet, cold and rainy and between the five of us we didn't catch one fish but DH spent most of his time putting bait on the kids hooks....LOL!!!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend and thanks for popping by and your lovely comments!!!

Special Post

Today is my 100th post! I started this little blog of mine less than a year ago and I don't think 100 posts in that time is too bad, do you? And what is todays post about....Lime Tarts April gallery is up, there is so much gorgeous inspiration there it makes you want all 3 of Lime Tarts kits!!! I received Aprils A la Tarte and I had so much fun with it.

Before I used the gorgeous doilie paper on the above LO, I flipped it over and used it as a template for my next LO, sprayed it with some Pink Taffy and Sunshine Glimmermist.

The kit came with the most beautiful doilie stamp, I used it on one of my cards and used it to make some of my own paper for a LO.

And my two cards.

Thank you for popping by and for your lovely comments!!

A bit late...

So I am a bit late in sharing this but I have been busy with my gorgeous Lime Tart kit so I can't show you anything yet. So here is my Prima March BAP and colour palette.

With the BAP, I pretty much stuck to the sketch and kept it simple because the photo is of my youngest DS so not too many flowers......LOL!!! Once again alot of fussy cutting and stitching :) Isn't the photo gorgeous, love that chubby bubby smile!

So I had this clever idea and fussy cut the row of daisies at the bottom too, half way through I started to question myself...LOL!!

mmmm, the pic looks pretty 'blue'...sorry:( With the colour palette I did this journal and used a Prima stamp, coloured with my copics, with layers and fussy cutting.

Thanks for popping by and for your lovely comments, I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!

Lets Get Shabby #22

When I saw Lets Get Shabby Challenge #22 and the DT's gorgeous work, I was inspired straight away. And G45 Springtime papers were just perfect, so here is my take on the challenge.

Photo of my DD and youngest DS all snuggled up sleeping together, so sweet! I loved the print on the pp so I did alot of fussy cutting, with some distressing, inking, stitching and some muslin for added texture. Some close ups....

Thanks for popping by and your lovely comments!!!

A New Month.....

I always enjoy the start of every month with all the new inspiring challenges and then there is of course the release of new kits!!!!! Once again I couldn't pick a fave from Lime Tart, the kits are all gorgeous :)

I will be playing with the A la Tarte this month, isn't that doily stamp just gorgeous?

The Full Tart is bright and pretty with the pink but so yummy for boys too with the greens, browns and turquoise.

I love the colours of the Half Tart, so you see why I can't pick a fave :)

I have to share with you I was the lucky one to win the gorgeous Kylie's blog candy and her work is soooo gorgeous so pop on over and have a peak. **Big Thank You Kylie** I hope you are all having a fab weekend, I will be back soon with something creative to share, thanks for popping by!
